Wynn Strange – Academic, Researcher, Teacher
Wynn Strange attended community college in CA before they received their B.A. in Sociology from California State University Chico, their M.A. in Sociology from San Diego State University, and their PhD in Sociology at Portland State University. Wynn uses critical approaches in their research in gender and sexuality, law and policy, and identity. They participated in research at SDSU on labor violations in San Diego and Imperial counties, and at PSU on the legal needs of low-income Oregonians. They are co-author on six publications from their two years in health services research at the Portland VA focused on improving mental health of veterans. They are adjunct instructor at Pacific University, Portland State University, and Linfield University teaching sociology, general education, and public health courses.
